Get A Life, Will Ya?

Personals January 31st, 2008

Recently i do a survey on bloggers current job. The reason for me doing this is because I wanted to know how well they can maintain their blog post. The most answers that i received was..”I’m SELF EMPLOYED!! I got lots of time to maintain it.” So i ask one of the blogger whether he’s doing a business to support his life but the answer shocked me..

“No..I’m just blogging. From there i make money. Previously i had a good job but i find out that by blogging, i can make more than my salary..So why i need to waste my time on daily work whereas i can just stay in my house, doing what i loved most, and get the benefits from it..!! “

I’ve always ask myself, “Does all these bloggers have their own life? Or just sit in front of their computers to see how much revenue they made via blogging?”

Most of us are bloggers. When i step outside from my house, my head keep on asking whether all the people that i met are bloggers. Sometimes i want to stop them and ask whether they did have a blog of their own. Lucky my inner self stop me from doing that.

Another question that always pop up in my head..

“Do they have their reality friends? Or they just make friends with the stranger in blogosphere?”

This is what i scared most. What if all my reality friends turn away from me, because I put all my concentrations in my blog site and making friends with strangers, doesn’t that make me an exile?

Damn it.. I shouldn’t start this survey..!!

I Say

- Blogging is part of our life. Not whole of our life. Don’t risk yourself just because you want to keep your blog post updated. If you have no idea on what to post, take a rest. Not able to update for one day doesn’t mean that your blog is going to die..

- Have a good balance in your life. Don’t mess it..

- Drop by and be friend with Moolahking :)

I have good friends in both reality and blogosphere.. Do you have yours?

Hey Collin Lahay, What Happen To RssHugger?

Personals January 30th, 2008

In my older post, i talk about how you can gain traffic using Rsshugger. Since then, I’ve been checking my stats to see any improvement on getting traffic from it. Sad to say, until now, RssHugger still haven’t provide me with ONE traffic or ONE RSS SUBSCRIBERS..!! NONE..!! How worst it could be, huh?

I still remember the excerpt taken from RssHugger website..

“RssHugger get blog owner and blog readers connected.”

“Yeah right..!! I don’t received any from your site..!! Duhh.. Or are you saying that none of my post interest any blog readers? Damn you..!!”

Previously, Collin Lahay expected to get at least 50,000 bloggers to join RssHugger, but then he changed his goal to 250,000 bloggers to sign up, which he think it possible to met since there are 112 millions registered blogs, with about 175,000 new blogs registered per day. But then, I only see 837 blogs registered to RssHugger.. Do you think you can achieve that, Collin?

RssHugger is created when this Collin read about that John “Boring Guy” Chow compete with Shoemoney on who of the two had more new RSS subscribers for their blog in a month.. Thus gave him an idea to create a network, where you can get blog readers to subscribe to your RSS, and giving you a good traffic flow when you write a new post. Great idea, though..But it seems doesn’t work at all.

My Review

Why not so many blog readers preferred to drop by to any blog using RssHugger? It’s probably because:-

1. RssHugger navigation are not user friendly, readers had to spent more time searching blogs that suit them best. There are so many steps to do before reaching any blogs. Search - Blog Directories - Subject or Category - Blog URL with description.. What The Hell..?? If I am one of the blog searcher, I will leave immediately..!!

2. All in Black And Orange text color with NO BLOG AUTHOR IMAGE..!!

3. Some readers preferred “About Me” area or Image of the blog owner or atleast create a forum or messaging site where members can send / receive message from other members. These can create a GOOD ENVIRONMENT WEBSITE to some readers. RssHugger is lack of these 3 important things. Without it, RssHugger looks like a DEAD WEBSITE..!!

I say

- Re-design your site

- Expose more of your site to bloggers

- Create an affiliate program

- Change your lame LOGO..!! It SUCKS..!!

These should be Collin Lahay’s goal to achieve as per now.. If not, just close your site. It’s not worth signing up.. And stop reading John ‘Boring Guy’ Chow reviewed of your site. He’s not gonna help you even if you HUGGED him..YUCCKKK..!!!

Easy Way To Increase Traffic With StumbleUpon

Personals January 29th, 2008

Imagine your site full with TRAFFICS at one time, until you need to swim away to other sites, because you’re unable to enter your own site, due to all visitors coming from everywhere. Would you be happy? Wouldn’t you?

I’d try my best to gain traffic since I started Moolahking dot com. I do some researched, tweak code, learn from the stupid tutorial, but it all went down to the drain. I felt hopeless, thinking that I might give up in searching for better ways to gain traffic.

But it all went turn upside down when I discovered the simplest way to gain traffic. I knew about this before, but I never thought it could bring me so much traffics, till I myself unable to enter my own site.. Damn..!! I should done this before..!!

Some of you might know how this work.. :) For beginners, do the same as I do.

Remember, this only works if you’re already a member of StumbleUpon and have a good connection with other members, and already installed StumbleUpon Toolbar.

1. Write a post

2. Published it, View your post, then click ‘thumb - I Like It!’

3. A pop up message will ask for you to write a review, what you need to do is to put the most sexiest / kinky / annoying review, but make sure it’s related to your post

4. Sit back and enjoy watching your site full with TRAFFICS..!!

Easy as that, isn’t it? So how’s your traffic? Mind to share it here?

Increase Traffic To Your Website

Personals January 28th, 2008

One of my 2008 resolution would be “Getting Serious In Blogging”.. I truly believe that blogging is a path of knowing other people in other countries. Hey, i have several blogging friends from South Africa, Canada, Russia, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and many more. See? Blogging can get you connected with others. Doesn’t that good?

Talks about serious, i can see most of my previous post, related to what i called “tips on Increase Traffic.” As you can see, I’ve change my title, just to let you guys know how serious i am in blogging..!!

“Hey, I’m not a copycat, Hello….” :)

Another reason, my blog meant for everybody. When i put the title as “Moolahking”, it looks like this site is meant for myself, thus i felt like a selfish blogger. Please, I’m not that kind of blogger..!!

I believe that traffic comes first before making money online. Without traffic, your blog means nothing. Same goes to making money online. Don’t hope to gain thousand of $$$ if you got no traffic at all. So, do you agree that TRAFFIC is more IMPORTANT?

Well, I’m not good in writing about making money online, so i don’t hope to gain $$$ from here. In fact, I studied most about making TRAFFIC, so i hope in my learning journey experience, i can share it all with you guys about it..

Furthermore, i will put my name as Increase Traffic, replacing Moolahking when i post a comment on your blog site. Just to let you know HOW SERIOUS I AM..!! :)

P/S - To all bloggers that linking to my site, can you do me a favor? Can you change my name from “Moolahking” to “Increase Traffic”? But if it’s burden you, just ignore this.. Many thanks to you..And i still love you.. :)

Does EntreCard Users Abuse EntreCard?

Personals January 27th, 2008

I know most of the bloggers nowadays using Entrecard for their blog site. It’s good that Entrecard creates such networking site for us to drop by to others blog and drop their Card. Thus let the blog owner knows who are the visitors.

But it seems that SOME of the EntreCard users “Abuse” the noble way EntreCard main purpose. They just stop by and drop the card, then leave. It’s like “ENTER A TOILET, TAKE A PEE OR SHIT, THEN LEAVE WITHOUT FLUSHING..!!!” Damn it..! YUCCKKK..!!!

If you study the main objective of using EntreCard, it actually meant that “You Drop By To Any Site, Read Their Stuffs, Check Their Site, Leave A Comment, Then Drop Your Card..!!”

But i think now the objective differs from the original..”You Drop By To Any Site, Drop Your Card Then Leave Without Reading Or Checking Their Site..!!”

Yeah, it’s true that you can do that. There’s no terms and Condition that need you to read any post from any sites. But It shows that you’re not sincere enough to make OR help other bloggers grows. Tell me, and be honest…

1. Did you read any post on any sites that you drop your card?

2. Did you make any good connections with the blog owner?

3. Did you sincere enough to visit their site, OR JUST WANT TO DROP YOUR SHIT?

4. Did you drop your card just to gain credit?

“Aww…Come on..!!! Don’t be such a selfish blogger..!! Don’t just drop your shit and leave..!! Don’t you find any good / interested contents on their? Damn..!!”

Why i bring up this matter? I did asked one of my blogging friend about receiving card dropper. And the answer shocked me.. “I got a lot of card drop on my site, but nobody leave any comments on my post..!!”

It’s true, though. I drop by to his site, find a lot of useful tips, but there seems no response from other bloggers. It’s like he’s posting for himself..

To those bloggers with this kind of attitude, go dig your own grave.

Please, We must help each others grows. Once you have this kind of attitude, others will help you too.. Yes, we are totally strangers. But does it burden you? If yes, Then leave your comment below. I will do my best to give my “MIDDLE FINGER SIGN” to you.. You digg? :)

Making Money Online? Learn From My Mistakes

Personals January 26th, 2008

This is a recap.. Read on, guys..!!!

I know i just started Moolahking Dot Com on 1st December 2007. But what you don’t know is that, i’ve been blogging for the past 6 months..!! Yes, it’s hard to describe. And i regret that i started Moolahking Dot Com quite late. How i wish i’ve started earlier. :(

Previously, i owned 3 blogs site with Blogger and 1 from Wordpress with a steady unique visitor about 137 visitors each day. And now i have to start all over again with Moolahking Dot Com. Doesn’t that sound worthless? I can hear some say Yes and some say No. Nevertheless, I’ve learned a lot in blogging. But still need to learn further.

1st time in blogging.

I signed up with Blogger. As usual, create an account, choose a template and wa laah..!! I have my own blog. But that time i still don’t have any idea on what to post. I just keep on changing template, changed here and there, put widgets, at the end of it, i still have no idea at all on what to post. I tried my very best to post on anything, but i can’t. I’ve read others blog, try to get some ideas, but still it doesn’t work.

“Have you ever wrote a post that you yourself don’t understand on what you wrote? That happened to me before..!!”

End up, i just keep on changing my templates. Thus, my blog site has been infected with some bugs, and can never be opened forever. It only last for 1 month. God knows how sad i am that time.. :(

2nd Blog

Since i can’t open my own blog site, i signed up a new account. This time, i’ve learned from my mistakes. I just use 1 template. How about what to post? What i had in my mind that time is to write a post about making money online since i also want to gain money via blogging. I’m able to maintain and keep on updating entries for 2 months!! And that was my second mistakes in blogging. Reason?

1. I post an entries about something i’m not expert for. ( Honestly, i don’t know anything about making money online via blogging that time!! )

2. When i’m out of idea, i do what i’m expert for, It’s called “Go to others blog, read about their post and copied it to my own blog..!!”

One thing that i don’t ever think of is, “Nowadays, blog readers are smart enough to differentiate a true contents of a post from a copycat contents.” And again, i’ve failed to maintain my own blog. :(

3rd Blog

Still don’t want to give up in blogging, this time i’ve signed up an account with Wordpress. And what i found out here is, Wordpress is giving their bloggers to use their tools to ease in blogging. I was like “WOW..!!” And since i had done 2 mistakes in blogging, this time i do my very best and the results, my blog site still exist with 137 visitors each day. And that’s the satisfactions i’ve ever had in blogging.

4th Blog

I bought a Domain name and installed it under Blogger. I don’t know what i had in my mind that time. Since i don’t own a web hosting, why don’t i create a blog with my domain name in a free blog platform? Right?

WRONG..!!

I have been facing so much problems pointing my domain name to blogger host. Even though i had followed their instructions, ask support from my registrar, still i unable to activate my blog. For certain time, my blog is active and sometimes it down. And i’m so frustrated with all these. On 27th of November, i bought a web hosting, use Wordpress and on 1st December, Moolahking Dot Com is born..!! And the rest is history.. :)

Well, hope that you can learn from my mistakes. What i can say is, If you want to blog, don’t do it just for a sake to gain money from it. Do it with honesty, sincerely, just post about what you had in mind and later on, you can see your blog non stop growing..!!
